When you travel to Ibiza it is absolutely mandatory to see the sunset. Watching how the sun slowly sets as paints the sea or the mountain of its orange, reddish and violet tones, is priceless.
There are many beach clubs or hotels that make the sunset a huge spectacle. DJs, chill out music, drinks…as is the case of Café del Mar. But today we want to talk you about five natural places to enjoy the bests sunsets in Ibiza, in the tranquility that offers, sometime, this island.
It is one of the most unknown coves in Ibiza. So much, that neither appears in the tourism guides. It has difficult access, which makes it a very calm and solitary cove. When you get there you will find the opposite of sand. The cove is formed by large rock platforms, superimposed on one another. The water is crystalline and it has a turquoise color that when the sun goes down, is invided by a mix of warm colors that makes this beach more incredible.
Ses Salines Natural Park
This natural reserve was declared Natural Park in 2001, and is located between Sant Josep de sa Talaia and the island of Formentera. This natural park has salt ponds that have been exploited since 600 B.C, and occupy almost 3.000 hectares. The orange and violet tones of the sunsed are reflected in the water of this saline ponds, making the lagoons a magical place.
Inside the natural reserve of Cala d’Hort there is a cliff withs views to Es Vedrá, an islet that hides magical legends of sailors and sirens. It has 400 meters high, and it is also called “Torre des Sevinar” or “Pirate Tower”. After a walk to the old defense tower you can admire from the heights both the sunset and one of the most beautiful places of the island, Es Vedrá. It is an incredible show of lights, colors, shades and tranquility.
It is a fishing cove surrounded by cliffs and located in Sant Josep de Talaia. Rarely will there be tourists and it only fills on the weekends, when the owners of the varadero booths arrive. You have to walk through them until you find the best perspective to see how the sun is slowly hiding among the waters of the Mediterranean.
Lookout Cap Negret
It is located in Sant Antoni de Portmany, and is one of the best viewpoints of the island to see the sunset. Just ahead the lookout you can see the islet of Sa Conillera, Cap Nuno and Sa Foradada. It can be reached by foot or by car.
