Autumn is here, Ibiza too

By 27 November, 2015Nature

Although known for its beach and party, Ibiza is much more than that in the Autumn. We offer you seven ways to make the most of the fresh days in the White Island, as it is called:

1. Tour all of Dalt Vila´s corners.

Autumn afternoons are perfect to walk through Dalt Vila or visiting the Virgen de las Nieves Cathedral. During the summer is too hot and streets are crowded with tourists.

2.Hiking Autumn routes.

Sport´s lovers will be delighted with practicing it this time of the year, since fresh temperatures invite to visit the whole island. If you feel like meeting up people while you practice this sport, visit the Walking Ibiza Facebook page, whose followers are increasing quickly.

3. Shopping in the street markets.

Las Dalias (San Carlos), San Jordi, Cala Llenya…they are one of the favorite hobbies of those who live in Ibiza, not only for the treasures that can be found in them but also for the social event involved.

4. Ecologic Sundays at “Casita Verde”.

Spending a different day in the countryside, learning ecologic values, enjoying a 100% vegetarian food… all of it managed by Ibiza Ecologic, a non-profit association. “Casita Verde” fosters visitors every Sunday between 2 pm and 7pm.

5.Discovering Ibiza´s story through its museums.

Art, past, present,… Ibiza´s museums conceal hundreds of stories that deserve to be unveiled. Besides, you can make the most of the coldest days of the year practicing cultural tourism. The Contemporary Art Museum (MACE), the Archeology Museum of Ibiza and Formentera, the Puget Museum… Ibiza holds more museums and art centers than what it looks like.

6.Visiting the Phoenician archeological sites.

I would like to highlight the Punic necropolis at Puig de Molins or the Sa Caleta Phoenician archeological site, declared Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO.

7. The best pictures of the island.

If you are passionate about photography, this is your moment, during autumn, winter and above all, spring, Ibiza offers its best images: vivid colors, lonely landscapes, foggy scenarios and that famous light that distinguishes it.

Which one are you going to do first? 🙂
